Flagship programs
Six career-defining diplomas
Our two-year diploma programs are the backbone of the institute — each one maps to a distinct clinical role in hospitals and healthcare centres.
Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
Medical laboratory technology is the branch of medical science responsible for laboratory investigations relating to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Students train across sample collection, analysis and reporting — the first year mirrors the syllabus of the degree course.
X-ray technology uses electromagnetic radiation that penetrates the body and creates images of internal structures on film or a fluorescent screen, which doctors use to understand a clinical problem. The program covers both clinical and administrative skills, with hands-on training opportunities.
Prepares students to work in the operation theatre as competent, reliable technologists under the supervision of senior doctors. Training covers diagnostic equipment — ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, C-arm — along with patient assessment and infection-control policy in the OT.
A two-year diploma teaching nursing-assistant skills and knowledge: fundamentals of nursing, community diseases and medical-surgical operations. Nursing care assistants work alongside registered nurses and doctors in nursing homes, health-care centres and educational institutes.
A diagnostic-imaging program covering the methods and procedures used to take pictures of the human body — or parts of it — for clinical purposes, including the study of anatomy and physiology relevant to medical imaging.
A two-year program divided into four semesters, covering pharmacy, psychology, medicine, surgery, dentistry, midwifery and nursing for allied-health practice. MPHWs provide first response and basic care in emergencies and disasters where hospital facilities are not available — frontline health workers for remote and rural areas.
